afterStaked

afterStaked is an ERC-20 token that represents a staked afterShare token. It accrues the majority of the voting rewards, which is currently set to 70%. Rewards are distributed as the underlying token of veNFTs, i.e. AERO or VELO, and can be claimed every epoch.

Lending markets use afterStaked under the hood to distribute rewards to lenders. Users can also stake afterStaked tokens to earn voting rewards, allowing them to take small loans against large veNFTs, while keeping the majority of voting rewards from their veNFT.

To prevent users from receiving a share of the total voting rewards after depositing a veNFT that has voted for unproductive pools, users can only claim their afterStaked token after the current epoch has passed.
